Valencia test - Day 1 |

|
The team had a low-key unveiling of its new C29 with little sponsorship logos on it, but he still proved that the team has built a competitive car. "For me it was a very positive day," he said. "The car was reliable right from the beginning, which meant we could follow our programme perfectly without wasting any time. Also the car reacted to our changes very well. For me it was a day to get used to not only the new car but also to the team with all the people. And, of course, driving-wise there's more to come from me as this was only my first day after a long break," he said. Michael Schumacher was also in action for the Mercedes GP team and the German impressed with the third quickest time of the day. His time was quicker than Rosberg's after only 18 laps around the track. The German set a best lap of 1:12.947s and was four tenths slower than Massa's fastest time. He was over half a second quicker than teammate Nico Roberg. Testing times does not count for much, but Schumacher will have taken some pleasure from beating is teammate on his first day back on the track. Pos Driver Team Time Laps |
