Ferrari's Fernando
Alonso set the fastest lap time at Valencia in Spain where he made
his Ferrari debut on Wednesday. The Spanish driver did not take long
to get up to speed in front of an estimated 25 000 strong crowed.
He set a time of
1:11.599 seconds in the cool morning conditions and was one tenth
quicker than teammate Felipe Massa's fastest lap time over the first
two days. Sauber's Perdo de la Rosa was running second again to show
the speed of the new Sauber.
Mercedes GP's
Michael Schumacher was third quickest on his first full day of
testing. Schumacher is concentrating on heavy fuel runs today. Jenson
Button was also in action for the McLaren team and drove the new car
for the first time. He spent a lot of time in the pits working on his
seat position. |
