Ross Brawn has to
answer to Mercedes this season after the German manufacturer bought
the Brawn GP team at the end of 2009. But he is use to the pressure
from a manufacturer and admits it's a different perspective.
He was Ferrari's
team boss for a couple of years and knows exactly what is expected of
him and the team. "Of course it has a different perspective, but
I had that feeling for ten years at Ferrari. It's something that you
get used to," he said.
The team aims for
race wins this season and Brawn admits they will be deeply
disappointed if they don't win races. "You keep your head down,
you focus and you work. We want to win races, and if we don't win
races we will be deeply disappointed," he said.
Brawn says the
media attention this season is different because they are part of
Mercedes. "Obviously there is a lot more media attention, or at
least a different type of media attention with Mercedes. But there
are also a lot of benefits from the relationship with Mercedes, so I
see it as a positive thing," he explained. |
