The Sauber team is
expected to change its name soon after the outfit showed a new
revised logo on its preview press release for the Bahrain GP. The 'S'
is now in red and it says Sauber Motorsport instead of BMW Sauber Ferrari.
BMW is no longer
part of F1 after they decided last year to quit the sport. But Sauber
retained the name BMW as part of their name in order to fully benefit
from the commercial rewards of the team who finished in sixth place
in 2009.
When the FIA
released the final entry list for 2010 the team's name was still
listed as BMW Sauber. "There is only one reason why I did
it," the 66-year-old told a German newspaper. |
