Legendary F1
driver Stirling Moss is recovering in hospital from a serious
accident he suffered in a lift accident at his home over the weekend.
He fell three floors down a lift shaft because the doors malfunctioned.
When the doors
opened on the third floor the lift was still a floor further up. He
broke both his ankles and four bones in his feet. He also damaged his
vertebrae and was lucky not to have internal injuries.
Moss was admitted
to the London Hospital and then later moved to the Princess Grace
hospital following the intervention of Professor Sid Watkins. The
medical staff hope to move him out of intensive car later on Monday
and they said his life is no longer in danger. His wife Lady Moss
reportedly said he is in high spirits. |
