Michael Schumacher
makes his return to F1 racing this season with the Mercedes GP team
and he is looking forward to the challenge ahead. But he says more
testing days would have helped ahead of the season.
Teams only had 15
days in total to prepare for the 2010 F1 season and a few days were
interrupted by rain. "I think none of us drivers has, but that
is just normal: give us 40 days, we want 80," he said on Tuesday.
"You always
have the feeling you could do more, and a lot of the test days have
been strongly handicapped by the weather. It is valuable time you are
losing, which would be very important for the development of the
car," he said.
Despite the little
testing the German driver feels happy about the preparations they
have done during testing. "But all in all I am very happy with
our preparation, as our focus was on reliability and internal
processes. We worked very efficiently. I am looking very much forward
to the start of the season now," he said. |
