The Sakhir circuit
in Bahrain where Sunday's race will take place is slightly modified
and most of the teams ran simulations before going to Bahrain. The
corner is quit tight and it remains a high-downforce track.
"We've run it
in simulation. It's quite tight so it will remain a high-downforce
track. I'm not sure anyone will get onto full throttle on the new
piece, so it will be high workload," said McLaren's MD Jonathan Neale.
"I haven't
seen a lap time prediction, but it will be one of the longer ones.
Punishing on the brakes and on temperatures - particularly when
following in traffic," he said. McLaren's rear wing will be
under investigation on Thursday, but they are confident it will be legal. |
